There are several expenses incurred by the Orchestra throughout the school year that are not covered by the school or the school district. These costs have been combined into ONE fee that will cover the expenses that are required for the activities of the SOA Middle School Orchestra Program. This one-time Class Fee helps to eliminate the need for multiple monetary collections throughout the school year and has proven to be less burdensome for both the parents and the teacher.

Costs included, subject to change due to program needs, are: Performance Costs: including Recording, Editing and Music, Region and All State Audition Fees, Meals and Snacks for Rehearsals and Performances, Solo and Ensemble Registration, Spring T Shirt and miscellaneous classroom supplies.

Cello and Bass students will pay this annual fee for the use of an instrument during their individual class time. This fee helps to pay for necessary repairs and additional equipment needed, it is not enough to fully meet our instruments needs, and therefore, the Booster Club supplements funds when needed. Students may need to bring their personal instrument to school for concerts, after school rehearsals or combined classes during the school day. Students may not take school instruments home or to other classes unless given advanced express permission from director.
